“Am I really saved?” It’s a little question with huge implications, one that can give us sleepless nights and troubled days. But it’s a question that every one of us can answer with confidence. Look what the Bible has to say about it:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Do you believe in Him?
Christ said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved” (John 10:9). He assures us, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10).
When you choose to believe in Christ, He grants you the joy of salvation and a willing spirit to obey Him (Psalm 51:12). “I delight to do thy will” (Psalm 40:8 KJV) will become the song of your hearts.
Your Shepherd says, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). Do you hear His voice? Are you choosing to follow Him? You may make mistakes at times, but does your life show that you are following Your Savior? As the Holy Spirit works in your life and changes you, it becomes evident that Jesus is your leader.
Jesus promises that your salvation is secure in His hands. “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28).
You can be confident that “He who has begun a good work in [us] will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
The Son of God was made “to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). It is the blood of Jesus that guarantees you a place in His kingdom, as well as a better life today.
Are you confident in the guarantee of His blood shed for you? You can be! Simply trust Him. His promises are trustworthy.
