Have you ever wondered what the Bible’s prophetic symbols mean?

Leopards with wings, many headed dragons, a little horn that talks!?!? Many of the prophecies in the Bible can seem difficult to comprehend at first glance, but we can understand them! God has given us the keys right in His Word.

Prophecies of Hope will take you on a thrilling journey through the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation. You’ll discover the links between the two books and how many of the prophecies have been perfectly fulfilled in history. Yet some of their prophecies still await fulfillment. These lessons will help you unpack the meaning of those prophecies, all based on Scripture, so that you can look forward to the future with hope in God’s prophetic plan

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How much time will this take?
    • Of course you can go at your own pace, but we’ve planned each lesson to take 30-60 minutes to complete. You can finish in one sitting, or save your progress and come back later to complete it.
  • Who created this course?
    • This course was written by Pastor Gary Gibbs, current president of the Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Pastor Gibbs greatest desire is to help individuals understand the Bible and experience the joy of life with Jesus. The Prophecies of Hope lessons are provided here at Godled.org by the Kentucky Tennessee Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
  • What are your methods of Biblical interpretation?
    • We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and will interpret itself when carefully studied. When studying a topic such as prayer in the Bible, we examine everything the Bible has to say on that topic to get a full and accurate understanding. (Isaiah 28:9; 1 Corinthians 2:4,5,13,14). We take our cues for interpreting prophecy from the Bible’s own method of interpreting prophecy, as demonstrated in Daniel 2 (our first lesson). In every lesson, you will see that when we study the Bible with the Holy Spirit as our guide, all that has been hard to understand will become easy to grasp.
  • Will this put me on anyone's call list?
    • No. We are here to answer questions for you and help you, but will not contact you unless you request it.
  • Will someone try to convert me?
    • Not at all. Our goal is to guide you through a Biblical study of the books of Daniel and Revelation. We want to give you the tools you need to understand them for yourself and make your own decisions about what to believe. That doesn’t mean God won’t be calling you to Himself. But that’s between you and Him.
  • Is Jesus the center of these studies?
    • Absolutely! Here’s just a few of the ways you’ll encounter Jesus in Daniel and Revelation:
      • Jesus is the One who “reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him” (Daniel 2:22).
  • In Daniel 7 we meet “One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of Heaven! … to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him” (Daniel 7:13-14).
  • Jesus Himself visited His friend Daniel in answer to prayer in Daniel 10.
  • Over 600 years later, Jesus again visited one of His friends, this time it is the aged disciple John, to give him a message for His people (Revelation 1).
  • Revelation 4 and 5 give us an insider’s view of the heavenly throne room and the “Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (Revelation 5:12).
  • Jesus is the One who will “shepherd” His people “and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:17).
  • He is “Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges … He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords” (Revelation 19:11,16)
